REBOUND PRODUCTIONS - SHOWCASE COURSE

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2020

These Terms and conditions including the Code of Conduct, Safe Space Policy and Booking and Payment Policy form the basis on which you make a booking with us. Please read them carefully as they contain important information.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms and conditions do not continue with your order.

CODE OF CONDUCT

By enrolling on a Course with us you agree and acknowledge the following:

- Professionalism

We expect all students to behave with a high degree of professionalism and respect at all times.

- Behaviour

Hurt no one and break nothing. We have a zero tolerance policy for behaviour that places yourself, others or the teaching environment at risk. Any damage caused will be paid for by the student. Our zero tolerance policy extends to the use of illegal drugs. Also, if you consume alcohol prior to a class you will be excluded.

- Issues Affecting Learning

Actor training can be both emotionally and physically demanding. We strive to create a safe space to allow all those who train with us to grow and develop.

Please inform us of any issues that may affect your ability to learn and train with us. We may, under certain circumstances, be able to adapt our training to the needs of an individual. However, it is your responsibility to manage these and only sign up to a course if it is safe and appropriate for you to do so.

- Movement Work

There is a risk of injury in all movement work. Be sensible and take all reasonable precautions. Only perform movement exercises, choreography and fight choreography you have been instructed in. Use common sense, you are responsible for both your own safety and the safety of others.

Be realistic about your physical limits. We all have them and we all learn at different rates. If you are unsure or something feels unsafe, ask for help immediately.

- Attendance and Punctuality

100% attendance and punctuality is expected of all students. If you are absent or late to a class without agreement in advance (see below), you may be kept out of class until a suitable point, which could result in you losing your chance to work during that class and could result in your removal from the course.

In certain extenuating circumstances, an agreed absence may be requested in advance. This request must be made officially by email to info@reboundproductions.com in the first instance, giving as much notice as possible.

Decisions as to whether an agreed absence may be granted will be at the discretion of the course tutors.

Where applicable, absences must also be communicated to your colleagues on the course who may be affected by your non-attendance. Where an agreed absence has been granted, you must make every effort to make up for the lost learning (including meeting with your partner outside the course hours and schedule).

- Additional preparation

Any additional preparation that may be required outside of the course time as advised by your tutors should be fully committed to and completed in a timely manner. All lines must be learnt by the deadline set.

- Showcase Industry invites

Rebound Productions commits to invite a series of agents and other theatre companies to attend the student’s final performance.

The students are expected to search for and invite any agencies they might like to attend with the prospect of finding representation. Rebound Productions will provide free tickets for those agents willing to come, whether they have been invited by us or by any of the students.

Rebound Productions is not responsible for any agents cancelling their attendance or not showing up on the day of the show.

Whilst we cannot guarantee that any agents attending the show will offer representation, the students also have no obligation to sign with a specific agent in the event that they are called by an agency for an agency read or

meeting.

- Class Rescheduling

We may, on rare occasions, be required to reschedule classes. If this occurs as much notice as possible will be given but students will be required to make every effort to accommodate a new class schedule.

- Consequences

Failure to observe any of the above rules and/or behaviour considered detrimental to learning will result in the student being removed from a course. Please note that your course fees are non-refundable in these circumstances.

- Communication

Where you are part of a course with ongoing commitment from a company of actors we will circulate your email addresses and telephone numbers to your fellow students. The intention of the clause is to facilitate communication between students as a Company of Actors.

You agree not to use the email address and telephone numbers of any actors on your course for any reason other than to communicate about the course itself except with their explicit consent to do so.

Any administrative issues may be directed to reboundprods@gmail.com . Please note, however, that this email address is not permanently manned and a response may take up to 2 business days. Accordingly, this form of communication should not be used for urgent matters, which should be communicated to the company and/or tutors directly.

Please note that social media messaging is not an appropriate form of communication and any messages sent

via social media platforms will not be responded to.

SAFE SPACE POLICY

We take our responsibility to provide a safe environment very seriously.

Everyone has the right to be treated with respect and dignity in an environment free from harassment, bullying or

any sexually inappropriate behaviour. We all have the right to expect this and the responsibility to uphold this. It is

never the victim’s fault.

In the event you witness or are subject to inappropriate behaviour call it out as it happens if you feel able to do

so. If not, raise it with the individuals involved as soon as you feel able to do so.

Alternatively, speak with the workshop leader, director or course tutor when you feel able to do so. You can also

email us at reboundprods@gmail.com
