Are you an emerging playwright? Would you love to see your work performed on a London stage?
We are looking for original one-act plays, featuring 2 or 3 characters, to be performed as part of our programme of new writing.
Submission Criteria
Please read the submission criteria carefully before applying:

Plays with 2 characters: 9-11 pages.

Plays with 3 characters: 12–14 pages.

Stage time: All characters must have a roughly equal amount of stage time.

Performance: We cannot accept plays in which any character is represented by a voice-over. All characters must be portrayed by live actors on stage.

Dramatis Personae: Your script must begin with a dramatis personae listing all characters.

Anonymity: Do not include any personal details in your script, such as your name, contact or other identifying information.
Important: Any submission that does not meet all the criteria above will be automatically discarded. Please check your script carefully before submitting it.
This is a fantastic opportunity for new and emerging playwrights to have their work brought to life on a London stage by an exciting theatre company.
What are we looking for?
Submissions will be reviewed by Rebound Productions and a panel of collaborators, with selected plays assessed on the following criteria:

Overall impact and enjoyment
We welcome bold, imaginative and boundary-pushing work featuring interesting, diverse characters. We are particularly keen to receive plays that allow for flexible casting, with characters who can be played by actors of any ethnicity and performed in any accent.
We want to discover fresh voices, distinctive perspectives and exciting new stories.
Do I need previous writing experience?
Absolutely not! You don't need any previous playwriting experience to submit your work. Whether you're taking your first steps as a writer or have already started developing your craft, we'd love to hear from you.
How do I submit my play?
Submissions open on October 20th and close at midnight on December 1st 2026. Please note that we can only consider new material that has not previously been submitted to Rebound Productions.
