We are passionate about new writing and emerging talent. Each year we combine these two elements with a series of Emerging Artists Festivals, where all the staged plays are performed by actors from our Showcase Course.

This unique course is designed to propel talented actors into the spotlight, providing the perfect platform to showcase your skills and attract industry attention.

Course dynamic:

​

When we think of acting, we often think of learning a role, getting into character, working on a text, blocking, character motivations and performance. These classes do just that. 

 

Participants will explore various scripts, break down scenes, and perform in a supportive environment. Through guided drama exercises, you’ll learn how to deliver authentic, compelling performances, enhancing both your acting skills and your ability to interpret challenging material. You will improve the use of your body, voice, and emotion to create an authentic performance. We will cultivate imagination, discover personal truth, and embrace vulnerability as powerful tools for acting.

Additionally, our students have the exciting opportunity to showcase their work in our Emerging Artists Festival, bringing their characters to life in front of a live audience.

• 8 WEEKLY SESSIONS: 3 hours of in-person training on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings

• 2 ONLINE WORKSHOPS: Tailored around your schedule, these sessions cover how to approach agents, how to make your Spotlight profile stand out and how to produce high-quality self-tapes at home.

• END-OF-TERM SHOWCASE: A whole day at the theatre culminating in two showcase runs

• SPOTLIGHT CREDIT & INDUSTRY COMPS: Invite key industry players to see you perform and increase your chances of getting noticed.

• PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS: Receive high-quality, professional photos of your performance to support your acting career.​​​​
